Desired Environmental Compliance
Outcomes
Stockpiles will be protected by
suitable drainage diversion
structures and/or covered to
minimise contact with rainfall
and/or stormwater.
Furthermore, the proposed compound
will occupy a relatively small, mostly
pervious area and will not result in a
noticeable increase in stormwater
runoff from the site, thereby protecting
the water quality of nearby
watercourses and streams.
The site has been strategically located
to the rear of a large rural residential
allotment that will offer screening
through existing vegetation located on-
site and in the surrounding area to
preserve the visual amenity and
character of the area.
The introduction of Fixed Wireless
coverage will enhance the community’s
potential in regard to economic
wellbeing and social growth of the
wider Noosa area. Fixed Wireless in the
Cooroibah area will aid economic and
social growth and diversification within
the tourism sectors of the Shire.
For these reasons the proposal is
consistent with DEO 3.1.3 (g).
