Introduction
Noosa Shire Council was reformed following the de-amalgamation of a number Queensland
local government areas in January 2014 with the immediate priority being to uptake the day
to day operational requirements by a local government.
At the current time, the future network stormwater master planning has not commenced,
however, in order to enable the updating of the current PIP to a LGIP within the timeframe
required, the:
    •   existing stormwater network items have been reviewed to align with Statutory
        Guideline 03/04 Appendix B – Indicative trunk and non-trunk infrastructure;
    •   based on stormwater service catchments limited to the Priority Infrastructure Area
        (PIA) relating to urban development;
    •   future trunk stormwater projects;
           o   to rectify current staff known deficiencies of a priority nature and contained in
               Council’s 5 year Capital Works Program to 2021; and
           o   proposals under currently available Stormwater/Flood management and/or
               mitigation plans or reports.
The following tables provide details of the future projects proposed for the LGIP in
accordance with the above criteria. This is an interim measure until further amendments can
be made and incorporated in a subsequent LGIP to be prepared for the new Planning
Scheme that reflects Council’s further network planning.
For projects that have an associated renewal component, this will be highlighted and
accounted for in the Schedule of Works (SOW) excel model.
