2.       Current Status

The project is currently moving on several fronts. Writing text, gathering quotes and editing for
each of the document sections is the main focus at present. The document comprises the
following sections.

     Our Iconic Place
     Our Noosa Biosphere
     A Valued Community
     Our Village Character
     Enjoying the footpath
     The view from here
     Designs for Living
     Working with Nature
     Way Finding

     Our Creative Environment

3.       Issues Arising

The principles contained in this document are factual data from the past and it will be important
for the future protection of Noosa’s point of difference that these principles be incorporated into
future planning documents.

4.       Next Steps

The target completion date for the project is 17 June 2015 and the project is currently on track for
completion on that date. It is estimated that the publishing of the document will take 2 weeks and
finalising the graphic design works will take at least 2 weeks. This leaves the next month to
finalise text, carry over editing, prepare a first draft and then a final editing can proceed.

Finance & Risk

Funds of $115,000 are allocated in the 2014/2015 budget for the consultation, research,
photography, graphic design, professional editing and publication of this document.
