Peak hour traffic demands for the Noosa Business Centre surrounding developments are
forecasted based on the following traffic generation data sources and are summarised in
Table 17:
Bulky Goods – The 85th percentile traffic generation rate for a ‘Retail Bulk Warehouse’
use was calculated from the respective Weekday PM and Saturday midday peak hour
data from the QLD Open Data source. Adopting the Saturday peak hour rate resulted
in a conservate trip generation rate of 10.4 trips per 100m2 GFA. This is higher than is
typically adopted for this development type, however, this rate has been adopted for
inherently applied conservatism, this would tend to over represent the traffic generation
potential of this component use.
