Retail – The retail component of Lot 1 is planned to be connected to Lot 3 with a
pedestrian walkway and therefore functioning as one shopping centre. As a result, the
trips expected to be generated by the retail component of Lot 1 was included in the
calculations of Lot 3 and is addressed in Section 8.4.
Commercial Use – The 85th percentile traffic generation rate for an ‘Office Park’ use
was calculated from the respective Weekday PM and Saturday midday peak hour data
from the QLD Open Data source.
Residential Area – Adopted as the traffic generation rates provided for a ‘High density
residential flat dwellings’ use in the Road and Maritime Service’s (RMS) Guide to
Traffic Generating Developments Technical Direction TDT (2013/04a) (GTGD 2013).
Childcare – Traffic Impact Statement: Noosaville Childcare Centre Lot 4, Noosa
Business Centre by SLR, dated March 2023. The average traffic generation rate for a
‘Childcare’ use was calculated from the respective Weekday PM peak hour data from
the QLD Open Data source.
Business Park - Trip Rate obtained from Table SC3.1.3 from the Noosa 2020 Plan
for Commercial land use in accordance with the associated LGIP development type,
i.e., “Major Centre Zone – Noosa Business Centre, Business Park & Business
Precinct”. No weekend trip rate is listed in Table SC3.1.3. Therefore, the weekend trip
rate was obtained from QLD Open Data, as explained previously in this section.
Innovation Area - Trip Rate obtained from Table SC3.1.3 from the Noosa 2020 Plan
for Commercial in accordance with the associated LGIP development type. No
weekend trip rate available in Table SC3.1.3 from the Noosa 2020 Plan, i.e., “Major
Centre Zone – Noosa Business Centre, Innovation Precinct”. Therefore, the weekend
trip rate was obtained from QLD Open Data, as explained previously in this section.
Medical Centre - The 85th percentile traffic generation rate for a ‘Medical Centre’ use
was calculated from the respective Weekday PM and Saturday midday peak hour data
from the QLD Open Data source.
