1.0 Introduction 1.1 Background and Objectives This Report has been prepared by Aussie Environmental to provide an ecological assessment of land located at 26 Sallwood Court 2022 and determine ecological impacts to accommodate vegetation loss associated with a completed development. This report has been produced as an appendix to the Planning Report associated with Local Council approval for the Operation Works for earthworks and vegetation clearing. All works (dam clean-out, removal of weed vegetation, protection of drainage channel and re- landscaping the property is now complete. Therefore this Report is retrospective to the actual operation works as these completed works require Planning Approval (Noosa Shire, Information Request, OPW21/0332, 15 February 2022). Earthworks, clearing and landscaping was completed between September 2021 and December 2021 to: - access an existing dam - remove and chip mostly weed vegetation - clean out sediment build-up in an existing dam - clean out sediment build-up in existing drainage lines and provide surface protection (Geofabric and Rock), and - re-landscaping the exposed and adjacent areas. Previously most of the land was used as horse paddocks with the new owners re-landscaping, removing the Camphor Laurels dominant drainage line and improving drainage protections and improving the existing dam’s capacity. The completed earthworks and clearing vegetation was strategically planned to ensure impacts on the environment was minimised and improved upon. The change in landscape within this property was a desire of a new landowner to create a garden that reflects their interest while protecting the environmental values of land and surrounds.
