c) Patron Behaviour and Noise Control
• Patron Conduct Guidelines:
o Staff will be trained to manage and monitor patron behaviour proactively,
ensuring that noise levels remain acceptable both inside and outside the venue.
Signs will be placed throughout the premises reminding patrons to respect the
local community by keeping noise to a minimum.
o Clear guidelines on acceptable behaviour will be communicated to patrons
upon entry, with additional reminders provided during busy periods and at
closing times. This includes asking patrons to lower voices and refrain from
shouting or other disruptive behaviours.
• Noise Management During Peak Hours:
o During peak periods (e.g., weekends, public holidays), additional staff will be
positioned in key areas to manage noise levels and respond to any disturbances.
Security personnel will be strategically located at outdoor deck areas and
entrances to enforce noise policies.
o Amplified music levels will be reduced incrementally as closing time
approaches, helping to gradually transition patrons to quieter conditions and
setting the expectation of reduced noise as they exit.
d) Patron Departure Management
• Staggered Departure Approach:
o To manage noise associated with patrons leaving the premises, the hotel will
implement a staggered departure strategy. This involves gradually dimming lights
and lowering music volume in the final hours of operation, signalling the winding
down of activities.
o Security and staff will actively manage exit points, encouraging patrons to leave
in small groups rather than en masse to prevent noise build-up on nearby
streets.
• Exit Queue Management:
o Security personnel will manage exit queues during busy periods to prevent
congestion and noise escalation. Patrons will be guided calmly and efficiently
through designated exit points to avoid overcrowding and loud conversations.
o Staff will also remind patrons to respect neighbouring properties by keeping
noise levels low and to move away from the entrance quickly and quietly once
outside.
• Transport Coordination and Support:
o To minimize disturbances, the hotel will partner with local transport services
(e.g., taxi companies and ride-share providers) to ensure vehicles are readily
available during closing times. Staff will be trained to assist patrons in booking
rides and directing them efficiently to waiting vehicles.
o A designated waiting area will be created away from the entrance and nearby
residential properties, ensuring that patrons waiting for transport are contained
