o All lighting will comply with Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) standards,
ensuring it provides adequate illumination without causing glare or light
pollution to neighbouring properties.
• Motion-Sensor Technology:
o Motion-sensor lights will be used in non-essential areas to activate only when
movement is detected, reducing energy usage while providing security when
needed. For example, back-of-house and storage areas will have sensor-based
lighting to illuminate the space only when accessed.
f) Security Audits and Compliance
• Monthly Security Audits:
o Regular audits will be conducted to assess the effectiveness of the security
measures in place. This includes reviewing CCTV footage, evaluating security
personnel performance, and checking lighting systems to ensure all areas
remain compliant with RAMP standards.
o Audit results will be recorded and analysed to identify areas for improvement or
potential security gaps that need addressing.
• Collaboration with Local Authorities:
o The hotel will maintain proactive communication with local authorities,
including police and council representatives, to stay informed about community
concerns and best practices for venue security. Regular security updates and
training sessions for staff will incorporate insights from these engagements to
ensure continuous improvement and compliance.
This detailed approach to safety and security ensures that all potential risks are minimized, and
patrons and staff are protected in line with RAMP requirements and local regulations. The OMP
highlights a comprehensive strategy to maintain a safe and controlled environment that
supports both operational success and community amenity.
