the Natural Resources Overlay (refer to Figure 6.7).The Overall Outcomes relevant to the
subject site are as follows:

Compliance
The site is identified on the Natural Resources Overlay as containing Agricultural Land
Conservation Areas (ALGA). However, the proposed facility is located approximately 300
m north of the ALGA and not located within a Coastal Protection Area. Furthermore, the
establishment of the proposed facility will occupy a relatively small lease area (70 m2) of
the total 106ha site area and has been located on the periphery of the site to avoid
interference. The proposed telecommunication facility will not affect the current or future
agricultural practices on site as the proposal is not for a habitable or sensitive land use. If
the facility is no longer operation l the site can be easily decommissioned and the land
rehabilitated. As such, the proposed development will not result in the disturbance of
agricultural land conservation areas and reflects the State Planning Policy 1/12 Protection
of Queensland’s Strategic Cropping Land.
