Upgrades to roads at Eumundi Road Resource Recovery Centre
Stage 2 of the project to upgrade the entry road to the facility is set to commence on 20 March
2017. This will see the upgrade of the entrance off Eumundi Road and will include the road
opposite Brite Side’s leased area and the second entrance to the contractor depot.
This project will require the construction of a temporary bypass road and closure of one lane at a
time to ensure that the site remains accessible. This project will require the closure of the landfill
site for a short period after 4pm to allow for the removal of a number of trees on the entry.
Entry signage will be displayed detailing the changed traffic conditions and potential delays
between March and June 2017.

Upgrade to entrance signage
The entrance signage at the Eumundi Road Resource Recovery Centre has not been updated
since 2002. It will be replaced to deliver a modern design incorporating Council vision and
message of Towards Zero Waste. It will also be utilised to promote the sale of recycled materials
and the waste services provided by Noosa Council.

The uptake of the garden waste bin service continues to grow ahead of the widespread
introduction in September 2017. As at 30 December 2016 there were 4710 garden bin services.
