Landscaping
The applicant missed lodging the landscaping plans with the joint Material Change of Use and
Operational Works application for an industrial building in the Noosaville Industrial Estate and
subsequently lodged an application for the landscape works separately. The landscape plans were well
prepared and assessment was minimal, with the assessment time being equivalent time to a driveway
application. A reduction of the fees was therefore agreed to be reflective of the minimum application fee
in Council’s fees and charges.
Previous Council Consideration
The fees and charges for development applications were considered by Council at the special
budget meeting in June 2017.
Finance
The agreed variations to the development application fees amounted to a total of $1304 and had
no significant impact on the budget for 2016-17 and are likely to be inconsequential for the 2017-
18 budget.
Risks & Opportunities
The fee variations are considered to be reasonable and are adequately justified.
