7. Medium dense to dense Zone from 2.7m – 4.7m in BH6.
8. Medium dense to dense Zone from 3.5m – 4.7m in BH7.
9. Sandy Clay (CL-CI) bands within Silty SAND (SM) layer from 4.3m – 4.7m in BH8
5.2 Groundwater
Groundwater was encountered in all of the open hole drilled borings at the time of the
investigation at depths of between 1.2m and 1.7m (refer Table 2).
It could also be expected to vary with climatic changes (rainfall) and tidal influences.
Groundwater could also be encountered as seepage along and/or trapped waters in and
adjacent to the many service lines, pits, tanks, etc. associated with the existing service station
centre.
