SERVICES & ORGANISATION COMMITTEE MEETING AGENDA 12 FEBRUARY 2019

 Empowering promising young entrepreneurs through internships, work experience and
     mentorship
 Educating and inspiring local industry and community influencers by hosting presentations
     from digital thought leaders
These activities have helped to put the Hub and Noosa on the map as a destination for digital
talent and innovation.

Tech Events
The Co-Lab hosts the Sunshine Coast’s leading developer group meetup, Coding from Beach,
on the first Thursday of every month. The group has over 420 members and includes some of the
top technologists in the region. Recent meetups have covered topics such as automated build
and deployment best practices, Machine Learning fundamentals and Ethereum smart contracts.

GovHack

The Hub’s Co-Lab space is also the home for Noosa’s GovHack event, with teams competing for
prizes in tech challenges using government-supplied data. GovHack saw 20 technologists
convene to tackle ideas related to Noosa’s parking and congestion challenges with some of
those solutions going on to be trialled during the 2018 Christmas holidays.
