SERVICES & ORGANISATION COMMITTEE MEETING AGENDA 12 FEBRUARY 2019

Industry Events
The Hub hosted the first CryptoCoast convention in late November with over 90 delegates from
around the country, including some of Australia’s top crypto/blockchain-related companies,
coming together in Noosa to share ideas, build their networks and make deals related to
Blockchain and Cryptocurrency projects.
The event featured 2 days of presentations with guest appearances from Noosa Mayor Tony
Wellington, local MP Sandy Bolton and QLD Chief Entrepreneur Leanne Kemp.

Talent Development
A major focus of the Co-Lab facility is to host skills development and mentoring programs. These
have included a workshop for Young Inventors who spent a morning at the Hub learning how to
create a self-driving car and the fundamentals behind the Internet of Things.

In term 4 the Hub invited Simon Richardson and his team of State Robotics champions from
Chancellor College to teach an advanced workshop to the Young Inventors where they learnt
how to code Sumo robots and compete in battle.
