Refuse Equipment
Table 4 and Table 5 outlines the number of bins and additional equipment required for the new hotel based
on the generation calculations above.

As refuse volumes may vary from assessment benchmarks, bin numbers and sizes may need to be altered to
suit the building operation. The tables depict the maximum number of bins and equipment expected.

Refuse Collections
All refuse will be collected by Council’s appointed refuse collection contractor. As per existing site conditions,
RCV’s will enter into the site in a forward gear from Resort Drive and perform a single point reverse manoeuvre
into the designated loading area. Once the collection service has been performed, the RCV will exit site in a
forward gear onto Resort Drive.

Note the existing refuse collection methodology on site remains unchanged.


Refuse Storage and Transfer
All refuse from the new hotel will be stored in the bulk bins within the new hotel refuse room located on
ground floor. Facilities management transfer the bulk bins to the existing clubhouse loading dock for collection
on a daily basis for collection and return them post collection. Bins will be placed within a temporary bin
holding area within the loading dock with minimum dimensions of at 2m x 4m. An electric tug may be used to
assist in ease of transfer of bins.

Note the existing clubhouse bins previously placed within the loading dock will be moved to new waste storage
rooms adjacent to the loading dock. There is no major impact to the loading dock size therefore adequate area
remains for the temporary placement of the new hotel bins.
