The following persons are recommended for appointment to the First Director roles of the Noosa
Biosphere Reserve Foundation Ltd.

 Noel Playford
   o Mayor, Noosa Council

 Scott Williams
   o Professional qualifications in Economics;
   o Experience - small business management, local government, Member of several
      university boards, Chair Noosa Council Audit Committee;
   o Key expertise - business management, governance.

 Raul Weychardt
   o Professional qualifications in Regional and Town Planning, Environmental Studies;
   o Experience - town planning and environment, river and coastal management. Previously
      chairperson of NBR;
   o Key Expertise - town planning and environment.

 Timothy Smith
   o Professional qualifications in Philosophy (Geography), Applied Science (Coastal
      Management and Conservation Technology);
   o Experience - management, sustainability research, scientific research coastal and
      catchment waterways and rivers;
   o Key expertise - sustainability and climate change.

   Rowland Hill
     o Professional qualification in Journalism;
     o Experience - Director charitable organisation, executive committee management,
       journalism.

 Peter Hunnam
   o Professional qualifications in Ecology and Natural Resources;
   o Experience - international development assistance management, nature conservation,
      strategic management waterways and catchment management;
   o Key expertise - strategic planning and management, program and project planning,
      capacity building.

 Judith Castledine
   o Professional qualification in Engineering;
   o Experience - senior management experience in environment health and safety
      organisation, international environmental management, chemical engineering, industry
      representative, cleaner production;
   o Key expertise - environmental management, research and operations, media relations,
      community engagement.

 Oleg Morozow
   o Professional qualifications in Sociology, qualified Director;
   o Experience - member of various high level forums and committees relating to
      sustainability, environmental management and energy;
   o Key expertise - cultural heritage management.

In accordance with the Expression of Interest documentation appropriate ASIC and Australian
Financial Security Authority searches were undertaken.
