RECOMMENDATION
That Council note the report by the Chief Executive Officer to the General Committee dated 28
April 2014 in relation to progress with the implementation of the 2014 Operational Plan.
REPORT
At its meeting on 2 January 2014, the Council adopted its first Operational Plan. In the absence
of a Corporate Plan, this Operational Plan set the initiatives and activities to be dealt with by the
organisation during the first six months of operation.
Pursuant to the Local Government Act, the CEO is required to report to the Council on a
quarterly basis in relation to progress towards achieving the outcomes of the Operational Plan.
This report addresses progress from 1 January to 31 March 2014. Rather conveniently, that
period also coincided with our former Departmental structures and this report is presented on that
basis.
Overall progress
The table below sets out progress by Department and identifies the number and percentage of
activities that have either been completed or are on track. It also identifies the number and
percentage of activities that are not commenced.
