   CMHA Inc., sub-committees are permitted to attend committee meetings for the purposes of
   more balanced input to considerations and decisions.


7.7.5 Building Sub-Committee
   Chair will be represented on the Committee for the purpose of reporting sub-committee
   activities. A report will be delivered at each meeting. Building sub-committee will be
   responsible for any matter relevant to works of a building nature including written reports
   and proposals.


7.7.6 Operations Sub-Committee
   Chair will be represented on the Committee for the purpose of reporting sub-committee
   activities. A report will be delivered at each meeting. Operations sub-committee will be
   responsible for any matter relevant to business operations including written reports and
   proposals, important business documents, website. Grants applications and Fund-raising are
   also the responsibility of the Business Operations sub-committee in liaison with Treasury.

   Chairperson of this sub-committee is responsible for Hall Coordination, that position having
   been encompassed in the role of Operations Chair at date of election. Hall Coordinator
   responsibilities include anything relevant to hirers of the hall: Bookings, reporting on their
   behalf to the committee and reporting back to the hirer. No committee/sub-committee

   member is permitted to take preference of a booking over another person nor remove a
                                   af
   person from a rental time to suit themselves. If a member has a prior booking that was
   documented prior, then the member may retain that booking.


7.7.7 Specialty & Independent Committee Members
   Members charged with special advice responsibilities as well as contributing to the meeting.

              •    Historic/R.S.L.
              •    Legal/Media
              •    Community engagement/Procedure
7.7.8 Absent events
   Excepting the president who has a vice, other committee members should themselves
   nominate another member of either the committee or the sub-committee to fulfill any duties
   necessary in the case of absence. If absent without notice, the committee should nominate
   another member to fill the roll until return or in the case of sub-committee, another member
   of that sub-committee. For specialty member, another member with the relevant skills
   required.
   Any other rulings would be according to the model rules and State Govt Fair Trading’s
   “Smart Business” booklet advice.
