Traffic Impact Statement
51 Elanda Street TIS 2024-11-25 in Australia is 1.88m. Vans and off-road vehicles used as private passenger vehicles need to be catered for. The majority of these are <2m” The proposed height clearance of car stackers comply with these requirements, however it should be noted that car stackers are designed in accordance with AS5124 and not AS2890.1:2004 or that of the and as such height clearances of >2.1m are commonly not manufactured. 2. Single platform as per the plans will be sufficient with a width of 2.85m and clear platform width as per Klaus specifications. Shop drawings will be refined by the manufacturer based on the layout requirements. Refer to Appendix B for swept paths. 3. The parking bay lengths are proposed to be 5.5m long. Klaus requires 650cm wide parking aisles for comfortability, although AS2890.1:2004 only requires 580cm. This is considered sufficient given the turn paths provided in Appendix B where the geometrical combination of parking aisle angle and parking bay dimensions provide for sufficient turn paths for user class 1A where up to 3-point turn for B85 vehicles are appropriate. ITE considers the proposed car stackers sufficient to provide for effective parking management and supply and consider the proposed arrangements to be safe and convenient, with majority of drivers being familiar with such arrangements at other similar developments. Specification of the system is provided in Annexure C. 4.2 Servicing Requirements 4.2.1 Regular Servicing (Refuse) It is the intention of the proposed development to provide kerbside collection via Elanda Street. This is considered to be the most suitable, efficient and safe method for refuse collection due to the topography and size of the site. If kerbside collection using 240L bins is to occur on-street, which is consistent with the surrounding area (for existing multiple unit dwellings), this will not generate additional vehicles on Elanda Street and will ultimately reduce traffic impacts to both vehicles and pedestrians. A summary of the estimated refuse generation along with detailed calculations of bin sizes, collection frequency and storage capacity are shown in Table 5.3.
