Background
The Elanda Point Education Centre & Adventure Park[www.elanda.com.aulis the southern gateway to the Cooloola
Recreation Area, a coastal wilderness of everglades & forests watered by streams and dotted with lakes. It is part of
the world famous Great Sandy National Park, only one and a half hours north of Brisbane and a half hour away from
Noosa but seemingly a million miles away.

Elanda Point is contained within a special lease under The National Parks and Wildlife Act as the land contained within
is gazetted as National Park. The existing lease is for a term of 50 years with an expiration in 2036.

Elanda Point with its range of excellent facilities is the focal point for all canoe, kayak, motor boat, sailboat & hiking
equipment hire for all adventures in the Cooloola. The Education Centre with its group cabin accommodation is ideal
for schools, clubs, church, tour and business groups.

The Adventure Park has excellent tent and camping facilities for groups, backpackers, adventurers and families. Elanda
Point conducts guided group safaris and instructional group eco-adventures throughout the Cooloola which are
extremely popular with students, tourists and corporate groups.

Visitation and use of the facilities has high and low period with key school holidays and summer seeing up to 1,500
campers on site.
