4. SERVICE STATION MARKET POTENTIAL
AND IMPACTS
This section considers the supply of existing service stations relevant to the proposed
development. The Cooroy urban area is currently served by two service stations as shown
in Figure 4.1. Other service stations are located at Pomona, Eumundi, Yandina and along
the Bruce Highway.
4.1 Service station network
Foresight Partners undertook an inspection of service stations on or near the Bruce
Highway, and in the townships of Cooroy, Yandina, Pomona and Eumundi, to ascertain
selected characteristics such as trading 24 hours, number of pumps, available food and
retail facilities. Table 4.1 summarises selected characteristics.
