3.2 Recyclable Waste
The Waste Management Planning Scheme Policy does not specify minimum recyclable
waste service levels for low impact industrial development. Recyclable waste volumes have
therefore been calculated using a consistent industry-standard waste generation rate applied
across all stages of development. Recyclable waste volumes generated by the development
are broken down as per Table 2.
Table 2 - Recyclable Waste Bin Calculations
Stage Mixed Recycling
Generation Adopted No. of 2m³
No. of 2m³ Bins
(m³/week) Bins
Stage 1 1.6 0.8 1
Stage 2 2.0 1.0 1
Stage 3 1.0 0.5 1
Stage 4 2.3 1.2 1
Stage 5 1.3 0.6 1
All Stages Total 8.2 4.1 5
The total amount of bins needed to accommodate the general waste generated by the low
impact industrial uses across all stages is 5 (five) 2 cubic litre bins per week
