                    ShapingSEQ strategies relating to urban development and economic activity are mainly
                    provided under the theme ‘Prosper’.

                    Element 1 is to achieve a high-performing outward focussed economy and includes a
                    strategy to support continued growth in population-serving employment and traditional
                    economic industries.

                    Element 3 relates to the regional activity centres network, and includes the strategies set
                    out in the extract below at Figure 6. The strategies support designated ‘regional activity
                    centres’ as locations in which to encourage a wider range of economic uses by leveraging
                    their existing assets and infrastructure. Regional activity centres are also to incorporate
                    additional complementary activities including residential development.

                    There is direct reference to synergistic opportunities in knowledge and technology
                    precincts and major enterprise and industrial areas which is relevant to development
                    within the NBC.

                    The strategies set out in Figure 6 above are intended to apply to the regional centres
                    network that is described in Table 7 of ShapingSEQ, as shown in the extract in Figure 7
                    below, in which Noosa is identified as a Major Regional Activity Centre.
