                      The designation of Noosa as a Major Regional Activity Centre refers to the NBC as shown
                      in Figure 8 below.

                      Further direction on the anticipated role of Major Regional Activity Centres and the types
                      of development outcomes within such centres is presented in Table 8 of ShapingSEQ,
                      which is shown over the page (Figure 9).

                      Major Regional Activity Centres such as the NBC are expected to serve a sub-regional
                      catchment, for which they provide a wide range of administrative functions and act as
                      centres for business and related activities, cultural and entertainment facilities, and both
                      comparison and convenience shopping. They are also to accommodate an emerging
                      creative industry and knowledge-based business sector.
