                         A key input in determining the catchment is the use of mobile geolocation data for
                         devices that have been recorded within the existing Noosa Civic Shopping Centre. This
                         data is represented in Figure 13 for the period 1 January 2018 to 31 December 2019 (to
                         reflect visitation patterns that are unaffected by COVID impacts on travel) and covers
                         approximately 42,000 visits made by around 16,000 devices.

                         The data has been purchased through the VISTA platform (now called ‘Pinnacle’)
                         operated by Near, and provides details of the geolocation of smartphone devices where
                         owners have location services turned on. The data is collected through applications that
                         Near owns or operates, during the process of placing banner ads for smartphone
                         applications that rely on advertising revenue, and through partnering with other
                         geolocation providers.
