3.9.1 Noosa Coastal Rowers Club
Rigging and de-rigging
Rigging of rowing boats is undertaken on the hardstand in the
car park prior to carrying boats to the launch location.

Launch access and facilities
Theoretically, the club has access to the boat ramp in front
of the NYRC, however in reality access is at times difficult or B
restricted due to conflicts with other users.
Beach access in front of the public car park provides access
for safe boat launching.
There is potential to investigate additional boat launching for
rowing, via a pontoon in the canal. Two pontoon guide posts
are already in position in the canal directly beside the NYRC
building.

Boat storage
Rowing boats are currently stored on racks on the ground floor C
of the NYRC building, and on racks outside the building on the
hardstand at the side of the building (between the building
and canal). Oars, safety equipment and an ergonomic rowing
machine are also stored on the ground floor of the building.

Buildings and improvements
The club does not currently have access to any club buildings
or rooms. Members use the public amenities located adjacent
to the car park, near where boats are stored.

Parking
Ample car parking is available at the public car park adjacent
to the NYRC. As rowing occurs in the early morning, demand
for car parking is typically low.

Access, linkages and connectivity
Existing pathways and public transport connect the site
conveniently to residential areas.
