TOPOGRAPHY

The land comprises gently undulating country, with the existing buildings located on the highest
portion of the site which forms the crest of a low hill near the central northern property
boundary. From this point, the land falls to the north-west, south, and south-east. The majority of
the site assumes a southerly aspect and falls gently to a small drainage line extending from the
southern property boundary and draining in an easterly direction to Holts Road a short distance
to the south east. Three dams exist on the site and appear to serve as minor detention and

treatment basins.

Holts Road has been cut into the side of the ridge in the north-western extent of the site, and
located over fill material for the south eastern extent of the property. Contours of the site are
shown in LSA Drawing No. 45021-C03, included as Figure 3 and were obtained from a detailed
survey recently completed by Ahern James Naismith Pty Ltd.

GEOLOGY AND SOILS

General

The Geological Survey of Queensland 1:250,000 Series Gympie Sheet identifies the locality as
being underlain by the Pomona Beds and Basalt of Tertiary Age, consisting mainly of shale,
sandstone and conglomerate, with minor basalt. No parent rock was observed on the site,
although residual clay soils abundant across the property are believed to be derived from parent

shale and sandstone.

Morrison Geotechnical was commissioned by LSA to carry out an on site geotechnical
investigation on the 13" and the 14" September 2005 on the subject site. Multiple samples and
tests were carried out during this investigation including:

> Determination of soil characteristics;

Assessment of geological features;

Assessment of soil drainage characteristics;

Slope assessment;

Batter slope requirements;

vv vv wv

Percolation testing;
