Suppliers aren't invited onto these lists it's through staff internally that identify a sole or specialised supplier and then procurement will test that though that is the case that it is either a sole or specialised supplier for these purposes. A supplier cannot tender to be a sole or specialised supplier.

Yeah um I'll speak to it um firstly great things um the knack is such a loved place by so many I my kids were very happy it was reopened for school holidays so thank you um it was crystal clear it was really nice it was um I was one of the people that turned up as closed though and I should know that it was closed um but it went really quickly we're back in um had a really great few days of school holidays with the floor inflatables the pool looks really really nice and clean um I still have an issue with the crows that took my kitkat but that's okay um that's media you guys do a great job with um the social media I think it's a really good news story for the Council um anything that comes from the NAC seems to be something that's really well received um so keep doing that my only like if I have to have one little criticism about any of it I would have loved if um there wasn't a Mayor's foreword on the document could preempt that today he doesn't have credibility around endorsement and discussion and so I would like to encourage that is something that is talked about at this table when we're doing a strategic plan um however I understand that it would be challenging not to agree that this is something that we need so I do see why I'm just saying um from a someone that may not be into pools um we've got to show equitable fairness across the Shire I hope it's not a set and forget strategic plan I do hope we see um things come through that actually are delivered and I'll try to do whatever I can as a Councillor to support that as well so thank you. No, thank you. The procurement of all Council's goods and services must be carried out in accordance with the Local Government Act 2009. And the Local Government Regulation 2012. Specifically, the regulation outlines the local government default contracting procedures for entering contracts via written quotes or tenders. The regulation inclusion includes exceptions to those procedures under certain circumstances, such as the engagement of a supplier without first written quotes or tenders approved as a sole or specialised supplier. This report seeks to amend both the sole supplier list and the Specialised Supplier List to continue to support Council's current and future procurement requirements. So the recommendation that Council A: note the report by the strategic procurement contracts advisor to the General Committee Meeting dated 6 October 2026. B: note the administrative process undertaken to establish and maintain the sole and Specialised Supplier List. Adopt the sole supplier list provided at attachment 1 of the report for the next 12 months and D: adopt the Specialised Supplier List provided at attachment 2 of the report for the next 12 months.
